Multi Engine Rating

 

Cooking Lake Aviation Academy offers you the chance to step up and fly a twin, an experience like nothing else.

Our course follows the guidelines set out in the Transport Canada Canadian Aviation Regulations and the Multi Engine Flight Test Guide.  The program consists of an estimated 7 hours of Dual Multi instruction in a Twin Piper PA44-180 Seminole aircraft. 

Learning to fly twins at Cooking Lake will give you experince of landing and taking off from shorter strips such as Cooking Lake to long (10,000') runways such as the Edmonton International Airport or the Edmonton City Centre Airport.

The suggested time will vary depending on the student's ability and previous experience.  A Transport Canada Flight Test is required.  Holding a valid Canadian Private Pilot Licence is a prerequisite of the rating
